Reflections
the D2 collective is soon turning 2 🤍
In just two years, we've:
▫️ Grown to 5,000+ members worldwide
▫️ Hosted 150+ events across Europe and North America
▫️ Engaged 10,000+ professionals who work in tech
But numbers only tell part of the story.
What truly matters are the meaningful connections, the shared experiences, and the collaborative spirit that define our community.
Some of you met new friends and booked trips to Bali together (true story, I swear).
Others landed new jobs where they have been happily making an impact for more than a year now.
And some others got inspired by the incredible D2 speakers and made changes in their professional and personal lives.
What makes the D2 collective truly unique is that our founding vision wasn't to create just another networking community for short-term personal gain.
We started the community to recreate a very specific experience that we both experienced living in Dublin before 2020.
We envisioned an international community coming together to authentically connect—one that, even after years, remains connected and can reach out for help when needed.
If you're a member of the D2 collective, you're in for a lifetime.
Here's to (almost) two years of creating a space where every voice is heard, everyone gets a seat at the table, and we take care of each other.

Build a Career You Love @ LinkedIn NYC
Five years after our last visit to the LinkedIn NYC office, we returned – this time as the D2 collective! We hosted our fourth "Build a Career You Love" event, bringing our community full circle.
Our incredible speakers, Ty, Natalia, and Akash, shared inspiring insights on passion, identity, and values in career building. Their wisdom left our attendees buzzing with new perspectives.
This event wouldn't have been possible without the amazing Women@ ERG team. A huge thank you to Robin, Sanam, Erica, and Ratna for their support, and to Thamina for the initial connection.
Seeing familiar faces in the audience reminded us of the power of community. From our days as LinkedIn employees to now bringing D2 back to where it all began, we're in awe of how connections can shape our journeys.
This experience reinforced our belief: community unlocks incredible possibilities.
First time in the Bay Area for the D2 collective
During our trip to the US, we visited the Bay Area.
On September 4th, we brought the community together in Palo Alto (Silicon Valley) to discuss “Human-centered leadership in a tech driven world”
Those are some of the questions we sought answers to as a community:
▫️Considering the potential of AI to augment human potential rather than replace it, what skills or qualities are becoming more important for leaders to develop in this tech-driven world?
▫️How to enhance a team's potential through AI while maintaining a human-centered approach
▫️When you put humans at the center of everything "you can't work from a state of production, but need to work from a state of innovation."
▫️How leveraging technology can result in improved employee productivity, satisfaction and overall wellbeing
